Happy New Year, See You Soon!

[ I’m still taking San Antonio Family Photography sessions! ]

Hello, Happy New Year and also goodbye!

Not really but yes really.

As I was asking God for a word for 2021, I heard him say: contentment.

At first I brushed it off. As an enneagram 1, I’m all about productivity and getting things done, and contentment sounded to be like settling or doing nothing.

But God quickly changed my perspective. He said: I want you to find contentment in me above all else; to be satisfied; to come to me, the well of living water, when you’re thirsty.

It is hard to admit, but I’ve been going to the wrong well. I’ve been going to the Instagram well for gratification, likes, well done’s, and good job’s.

I think it’s hard for anyone who’s job is on social media where there is reward in gaining followers and attention.

So, it’s time for a little break.

Family Mini Sessions | San Antonio Photography

Surprise! I am offering family mini sessions this December.

Every year I get a few families who just want photos for a Christmas card, and I love doing them for my family and friends, so I will be offering this option for my clients.

I don’t usually do family minis because I love to take my time and really get some intimate moments, but I totally understand not everyone has the time or means to do a full session.

I was so excited to meet Samie and her family for a summer session. It’s not very common for me to be busy in the summer, but with COVID-19 interrupting spring, I think every is needing some time in the outdoors.

Samie’s husband, Roland, is a San Antonio police officer, and what a great time to honor him and this service and pray for our officers as well as the black community who is in pain too.

I immediately said yes when Samie asked if they could do a few with Roland’s uniform.

Samie, her three children, and husband were so much fun to work with. These two siblings truly love each other and were so nice to me and each other. It was beautiful.

Bianca graduated from Texas A&M University-San Antonio this spring with a degree in business management.

She endured the campus closing mid-semester and moving to all online classes, but she got the degree, and that’s what matters.
